MHSRA MEMBERSHIP CHECKLIST
The 2024-2025 Membership Applications will be available starting July 1, 2024. All memberships will be completed through www.nhsra.com .
Once at www.nhsra.com: Click on “Member Login”. Every renewing member has an account set up. If you don’t know your Username, either click on “Forgot Username”, or contact the State Office to get it. If you are a new member, you will need to click on “New to NHSRA” and start your registration. You will be able to fill out the 2023-2024 Membership Application and Minor’s Release online and then print them out to get notarized. After paperwork is signed & notarized, scan the Membership Application, Minor’s Release, social media policy, media release, spring semester’s grades (if you were at State, we have your grades), a copy of birth certificate for new members, and a completed W9, then upload to your member profile.
High School Membership Dues are $169.00 + credit card processing fee. Junior High membership Dues are $125.00 + credit card processing fee.
Payment for memberships have to be paid by Credit Card through the MMS before it will allow you to print your paperwork off.
You may enter any rodeo/cutting/reining/shooting once your application is complete with all requirements. Please note the “Membership Card Must Be Complete By” date listed on the Master Schedule on the Schedule Page at www.mhsra.com. This is the date the State Offices must RECEIVE your complete application.
Fill out both sides of the membership form completely. Please refer to the following check list when filling out your membership application:
1. Membership Application Page:
Fill in personal information including your email. Be sure to use an email address that is checked often as we send important emails to members.
Check the events you wish to participate in throughout this rodeo season.
CONTESTANT must sign and date the first page at the bottom.
BOTH parents and/or guardian must sign the first page at the bottom (If only one parent is signing the reason must be listed, i.e., sole custody or deceased).
2. Minor’s Release, Assumption of Risk and Indemnity Agreement:
ALL (member and both parents) MUST sign on the designated blank as well as print their name on the associated designated blank. Do not sign this page until you are in the presence of a notary as they must witness your signatures.
ALL (member and both parents) signatures MUST be witnessed with a notary’s signature. (If only one parent is signing the reason must be listed, i.e., sole custody or deceased.) Please see the bottom of the Minor’s Release page for details.)
The notary MUST WRITE ALL THREE NAMES on the line following “personally appeared.” This line is very important as by writing the names on this line the notary acknowledges that he/she witnessed each signature.
3. SOCIAL MEDIA POLICY –
Every member and both parents and/or guardians must sign the social media policy.
Once signed, scan and upload on your member profile.
4. Other Important Paperwork to Include:
Include a copy of your birth certificate (new members only).
Include a copy of your most recent semester grades. Grades are collected twice each year. If you competed at State Finals, there is a copy of your grades in the State Office.
Include a signed W9 Form
Include a signed Media Release Form
If any of the above information is incomplete or incorrect, your membership will not be processed until it is corrected, and you will be unable to enter rodeos.
**As soon as your membership is in order at the State Offices, you will be eligible to enter. You will receive your membership packet including raffle tickets as soon as your Membership is processed.
